Lake Mindemoya Shoreline

Nature. Movement. Open Water.

Fishing & Dockside Stillness

Fishing for Pickerel Bring your fishing pole and fish right in front of our lodge or at our stone pier on the nature trail. There is a 'hole' right in front of our dock where pickerel are caught. usually early evening or morning.

The dock is also a place for stillness — sunrise coffee, quiet reflection, or watching the evening sky often over the water.

Kayaking/Canoeing Kayaks and canoes are available for rent or bring you own and launch down the road from our lodge. Tour our shoreline with a spectacular backdrop of white cliffs, the Amabel rock formation.

Cycling and/or Motorbiking Quiet roads, rolling terrain, and uninterrupted lake views make this one of Manitoulin Island’s most peaceful rides. We are located in the center of the island and the backroads are paved. Biking to the east or the west end of the island or all around Lake Mindemoya lets you take in the beautiful Manitoulin scenery. You will find majestic trees to provide you with shade or many beaches if you need to refresh and take a break!

Hiking Our private nature trail is worth a walk any day. In the medist of tall maples and oak tress follow the fairy tale trail to th ecave. Then walk down to our fishing pier and realx for wahile, watching ducks and ducklings swimming in tuen with the call of the loons. Follow the trail up to our semi-secluded Maria Sebastian Cottage. Very unique and interesting rocks along the way. I believe our trail is the best medicine for heart, soul and mind.

Pair your shoreline experience with a visit to our Amabel Spa or wander through the nearby Cliff Garden for a full day of movement and restoration.
